"Dear Leader's appearance on The View this week (a TV equivalent of chewing-gum for the mind) has more than a few people scratching their head as they face the dawning realization that this president really doesn't seem very serious about addressing the towering challenges the rest of us face everyday... at all. In a fluff interview that would be an embarrassment to any normal person, the show's boring, knee-jerk-liberal yentas predictably insulted your intelligence by lining-up to lick his posterior... but were topped by the grandstanding Babah Wahwah gushing how "sexy" Obama is- prompting even Democratic Pennsylvania Gov Ed Rendell to remark "I think there should be a little bit of dignity to the presidency... I think the president of the United States has to go on serious shows." Our self-hating Narcissist-in-Chief went-on to defame American blacks as a "mongrel" race- clearly a man with such self-esteem issues has no business anywhere near the levers of power in this -or any other- socially complex, multiracial nation. Unsettlingly, Obama's bad childhood and psychological scars have this warped and unbalanced man "acting stupidly" on a regular basis, refusing to persecute voter intimidation by the NBP, suing Arizona to block the will of the people, emboldening and radicalizing racist organizations like the NAACP and La Raza, bringing our country to the brink of a race war.... maybe McCartney should have played him Helter Skelter for inspiration, eh? While straining to ...
www.mahalo.com President Barack Obama is paying a visit to ABC's ''The View'' this week. Obama is scheduled to tape a sit-down with the ladies of ''The View'' on July 28 - the show will air on Thursday, July 29, 2010. According to ABC, this is the first time a sitting president has ever appeared on a daytime TV talk show. A White House press release says President Obama will discuss such "hot" topics as jobs, the state of the economy, his administrations successes and the Gulf oil spill. ''The View'' executive producer and co-host Barbara Walters will make a special appearance for the Obama show. Walters has been on leave from ''The View'' since undergoing open heart surgery in May of 2010. This isn't Obama's first time on ''The View.'' He was interviewed on the show in March of 2008 when he was a presidential candidate. Obama has also appeared on late night talk shows, including ''Late Night with David Letterman'' and ''The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.'' President Obama's wife, First Lady Michelle Obama, co-hosted ''The View'' in June of 2008. Some Washington insiders aren't entirely happy with the President's ''View'' appearance. Pennsylvania Democratic Governor Ed Rendell says the ABC show is beneath the "dignity of the presidency." How hard will the interview be for Obama? ''Time Magazine'' points out it may not be an "easy interview" for the president, given past history. During Obama's last ''View'' appearance, conservative co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck "grilled" the ...

In this Transportation TV News Update we take you to Capitol Hill for the very latest testimony on the nation's bridges. Built to last 50 years, the bulk of the nation's 590000 bridges are 43 years old. 74000 bridges are classified as "structurally deficient," meaning that one or more aspects of a bridge's structural condition require attention. Meanwhile truck traffic has nearly doubled in the past 20 years, and the trucking industry is pushing for heavier loads. Testifying this week on behalf of the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials, Malcolm T. Kerley PE, chief engineer with the Virginia Department of Transportation, is featured in the newscast, telling members of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Subcommittee on Highways and Transit that current funding levels are not adequate for the job. Kerley also explains why the nation is facing a "perfect storm regarding our bridges." Also in this newscast, Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell is planning a bus tour during August to drive home an important point about transportation. And you'll learn about a new Federal Transit Administration study that outlines how much money it will take to repair and maintain the nation's ageing transit systems.
In 2001, we moved from San Diego to New York City. We arrived in NYC on 8/22/01, and were able to see the World Trade Center towers miles away in New Jersey as we got closer. We made the trip by traveling in a rented Volvo along the following route: we started in the Mission Valley area of San Diego, traveling north briefly on CA-163, merging with I-15. In Utah, we joined I-70 east and drove to Denver and I-76, which becomes I-80 in Nebraska. Once in Illinois, we picked up I-88 to Chicago to visit family, then continued back on I-80 all the way to New Jersey where we eventually found our way to the Holland tunnel and on to our new home in the West Village. During this 4 minute 25 second film, I included some interesting coincidences that related to 9/11 - first, a billboard for the MCAS Miramar Airshow that was canceled due to security concerns, a sign promoting the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, which held greater meaning because of the attacks, and a welcome sign for Pennsylvania noting Tom Ridge as the governor, who became the Secratary of the DHS following its creation. This video was shot on a Sony Digital-8 camcorder, and edited on Final Cut Pro. I made it as part of a larger project featuring my first-hand 9/11 footage. I hadn't developed any skill as a filmmaker when I shot this, so I apologize for some shakiness and over-zooming.

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY TO UNITED STATES OF AMERICA -4-7-2010 en.wikipedia.org The United States Capitol is the meeting place of the United States Congress, the legislature of the Federal government of the United States. Located in Washington, DC, it sits atop Capitol Hill at the eastern end of the National Mall. Though not in the geographic center of the District of Columbia, the Capitol is the origin by which the quadrants of the District are divided. Officially, both the east and west sides of the Capitol are referred to as "fronts". Historically, however, only the east front of the building was intended for the arrival of visitors and dignitaries. In September 1774, the First Continental Congress brought together delegates from the colonies in Philadelphia, followed by the Second Continental Congress, which met from May 1775 to March 1781. After adopting the Articles of Confederation, the Congress of the Confederation was formed and convened in Philadelphia from March 1781 until June 1783, when a mob of angry soldiers converged upon Independence Hall, demanding payment for their service during the American Revolutionary War. Congress requested that John Dickinson, the governor of Pennsylvania, call up the militia to defend Congress from attacks by the protesters. In what became known as the Pennsylvania Mutiny of 1783, Dickinson sympathized with the protesters and refused to remove them from Philadelphia. As a result, Congress was forced to flee to Princeton, New ...
New York Mayor and Times Square Firecracker Beneficiary, Bloomberg Trying To Work With Gov. Rendell To Stop Sale, Transportation Of July 4 Favorites Over State Lines Odd: Pennsylvanians Can Sell Them But Are Not Allowed To Use Them. That's because fireworks can be sold, but not used in Pennsylvania. Confusing? There's more: if you bring the fireworks across state lines back to New York or New Jersey, you can be arrested. Inside the store, you're asked for identification and after you sign a document saying you understand the law and give the name and address on your driver's license, you see a veritable bazaar of people pushing carts up and down aisle after aisle. Mayor Michael Bloomberg and Police Commissioner Ray Kelly put on a demonstration Thursday to show how dangerous transporting fireworks can be. But, as CBS 2 HD saw Friday, business has not slowed. We stopped one man who had left the store, and he agreed to talk to us, but didn't want to show his face. "Uh, it's a funny law; the government of Pennsylvania allows them to be sold. I hope I'm not doing anything illegal, but again, it's a strange law. I mean, the state makes money from it. And the people of the state can't buy them. Then in New Jersey you can't buy them." the man said. Somebody is making good money. One shopper figures he's spent more than $500. "Five hundred bucks! I love 'em," the shopper said. Some people who worry that their New York or New Jersey license plate might get them stopped when they ...
