So I got this camera for my birthday and I wanted to try it out. I just filmed some random stuff in my yard. It was a pretty cheap camera for being HD. It's also got 30X Optical Zoom which is pretty sick.

Paid $173.31 for the Sanyo VPC-ZH1R package which included two video cables, data cable, case, 1 GB SD Card, and an extra battery. Although outdoor shots are great, indoor shots are worse than the video from my Canon SD780 IS Camera. I am returning this to upgrade to something better and hope the video helps others make a more educated decision than I was able to.
Just received the Sanyo Xacti VPC-ZH1 HD Camcorder from UPS today and shot some test footage with it. So far I'm pretty impressed! Specs: Resolution: 1280 x 720 Format: MPEG4 AVC/ H.264 Optical Zoom: 30x Digital Zoom: 50x I got this camera for about $190 (CAD) with tax and shipping. This came from the US in about 3 days which is great. Amazon Link: www.amazon.com I may have another video soon with more test footage.

We are big fans of Hamish & Andy and love their ghosting video so we decided to try it ourselves. As you can see, Dozer pwns Scrap. This was very easy to film with our new Sanyo Xacti VPC-ZH1 HD Camcorder!
